The Wiseling Blog: Behind the Shop Scenes with Concetta's Closet

WOO!

wiselingblog:

We enjoyed the pleasure of catching up with the owner of Concetta’s Closet, Dana Hanson. Since moving to Southern New Hampshire, Dana prefers a backyard and fresh mountain air over close and cramped quarters in Bed Stuy. Dana fills us in on owning and operating Concetta’s Closet.

Im in love with this photo for so many reasons.  The wallpaper, the deer in the glass dome, the height and narrow shape of the mirror, the photos on the opposite wall - and mostly, because this photo is just a very early rendition of what people do now - taking photos of themselves in mirrors!

1910s.

Oh.  WOW.

re-enhabit:

We had some much fun at our 1940’s-1950’s Flash Mob on Saturday night. Everyone who came looked AMAZING!

a HUGE thank you to Dana at Concetta’s Closet, the wonderful staff at The Press Room in Portsmouth, Gnarlemagne & Love in Stockholm(who thought this was just how we dress everyday in New Hampshire) for letting us hijack the start of the night, and lastly everyone who came out!

You can see some more of the great pictures by Denise Wheeler HERE!

re-enhabit:

The wonderful Dana from Concetta’s Closet in Newmarket, NH invited Re-Enhabit to co-host at 1940’s-1950’s Flashmob in Portsmouth, NH. It is taking place this Saturday,April 7 at 8pm. (for more details check out the event page on facebook)

If you are thinking “should i really buy something vintage to wear one night? what am i going to do with this 1940’s dress after the flashmob is over?” Dress in head to toe authentic era clothing for one night, then style it with some modern elements for the other 364 days.

the above dress is from anthropologie it is new but 100% inspired from the 1940’s.

want ALL

By Sam Ueda If you haven’t noticed that vintage clothing is taking over, you’re living under a rock. If you have noticed and are looking for a place to buy some, a short bus ride will take you to downtown Newmarket……(Interview with Concetta’s Closet)
